Welcome

August 28, 2020

New Year's Day, the beginning of a new decade, arrived with so much promise and optimism. Months later, we all have experienced things we never could have imagined on that first day of the year. While things have slowed down for Nostalgia Plaques, that doesn't mean we have stopped moving forward. For one, we are painting our house, something that we haven't done since last century!

We have had many arts & craft shows canceled and wholesale shows are being canceled as well. That just means we have to find new ways to get Nostalgia Plaques out there for y'all to find. We are applying to many more arts & craft shows in hopes that some of them will be able to move forward. Also in the works are new ways our Wholesale Buyers can order to make your job easier, faster, and less stressful

We are determined to make this work, finish painting our house, and continue to be able to say, "We're Open!"

July 10, 2013:

We've got really exciting news for everyone who always asks if we sell online--we can finally answer "yes!" Our brand new Etsy storefront is ready and waiting for all of our wonderful customers to check out. We'll be working on adding inventory over the coming months, so keep checking back for new additions. We're sure you'll be able to find something that you love! Just Click Here to open our shop and browse!

Nostalgia Plaques made it on the news this past weekend at the Christmas Village Festival in Birmingham! Okay, so we're only in the background of the opening and closing shots, but that still counts to us!

Click here to open the story in a new window.

We're going to try to keep this a little more up to date in the coming months. Our daughter is in charge of updating everything, but she's a student at Georgia Tech so classes are her biggest priority. Hopefully she'll be able to teach us how to make changes herself over winter break.

You probably remember the puppies we adopted last year (if not, you can see them in the previous post... we've been busy). Well, both of them squeezed out of the large pen we built for them in our back yard and spent the night out on the town. From what we can tell, they spent some time visiting our bovine neighbors before making their way to a house where they just couldn't understand why they couldn't go inside! Thankfully they are back home with us now and getting baths as we speak!

Hank Penny

Yes, we are still here! Just been a busy summer and fall. As if we didn’t have enough to keep us busy, we added 2 puppies, Hank and Penny, to the mix in August. Long story short, I am no longer allowed to visit the local Animal Shelter. They are a handful, but now we can’t use lack of time as a reason to keep us from exercising as they really need a chance to burn off excess energy. Officially, they are Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dogs and we have no idea how big they will eventually get.

We have been doing shows almost every weekend since Labor Day and have changed our schedule a little this week. Instead of going to Rome, GA for the Chiaha Festival, we have decided to head into the ATL for the Chandler Park Festival. After some record breaking heat earlier this fall, we have run into a string of great weather the past 3 weekends and this coming weekend looks like it might be a nice one as well. This looks like a lot of fun and maybe we will see some of you there.

~2500 'words' We finished just before 1 AM! Never finished with work!

If you've been wondering what we've been busy with lately, this is it. These pictures represent around 2,500 "words" that we made to ship to stores. Every twelve days or so we repeat the process for more stores. There are times when it seems like the orders are never going to stop. When this happens it isn't unusual for us to be working from the time we wake up to the time we go to sleep to keep customers happy. This summer has been especially busy and we won't even have time to take a short vacation.

June 19, 2009: We've had to stay home many weekends this year because of how busy we've been filling orders for Nostalgia Plaques. Every time we turn around it seems as if another store is placing an order!

March 27, 2009: We will not be going to the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival. The weather forecasts are predicting severe thunderstorms all day on Saturday. We'd really like to be in Conyers, but it just isn't worth the risk to set up this weekend.

December 25, 2008: Merry Christmas, Mom!
